Lunar eclipse watching

Last night was the best lunar eclipse we've been able to see with the kids. Not only was it early enough that they were all awake, but we had clear skies and were able to see the moon from the beginning to the end. They had a lot of fun running outside from time to time to check on the progress of the eclipse.

B took some pictures of the moon and photoshopped them together--this is what we saw from eastern Idaho:

Those are great photos. We were totally cloudy last night and weren't able to see a thing.

Cool photo project! I missed it completely. I found out about it the day after while watching CNN. I guess with a scientist in the house you'll never miss these events. :)

We missed the lunar eclipse here because it was cloudy. :( So it's neat to see your pictures. I love how Ben photoshopped them together! Way cool!
